Is this you?

You do not need a business background to start

Our centre heads across Uttar Pradesh come from every kind of background. Most had never run a business or taught a class before they started. What they have in common is that they wanted to work with children themselves.

Women starting something of their own

With or without teaching experience. A business that is genuinely yours, on hours that work around your family. Many of our strongest centre heads started exactly here.

Teachers and tutors

You already know how to work with children. Add a globally proven curriculum, your own centre, and income that belongs to you rather than to a school.

Career restarters and graduates

Coming back after a break, or starting out. You get complete training, a proven curriculum and a brand parents already recognise.

Working professionals

Each batch meets once a week, and we run classes at the weekend wherever possible. A centre genuinely can sit alongside a weekday job — provided you are the one teaching on Saturday or Sunday.

Tuition centre owners who still teach

Already taking classes yourself? Add UCMAS to what you offer, open a new revenue stream, and stand apart from the centre down the road.

Anyone who enjoys being around children

No business background, no teaching background, no maths background. We train you completely. The one thing we cannot train is wanting to do it.

Not sure whether you fit? Have the conversation anyway. Most of our franchise partners were not sure either — call +91 99362 32323 and we will tell you honestly whether it makes sense for your situation.

One firm condition

You will be the teacher. That is deliberate, and we will not bend it.

We only award a franchise to someone who intends to take the classes themselves. If running a centre as a hands-off investment is what you are looking for, we are not the right fit, and it is better that you know that now than three conversations from now.

There are two reasons, and both come from watching what actually happens to centres.

  • Instructors leave, and levels do not pause. If you hire a trainer and they resign midway through a level, you are trying to replace a certified instructor while a batch of children sits waiting. Finding and training a replacement takes months. A centre head who teaches simply never has that problem.
  • Standards are set on day one, or not at all. When the person who owns the centre is also the person trained by us, the teaching quality is fixed from the first class and stays fixed. Quality that depends on hired staff drifts, and by the time parents notice, the damage is already done.
What this means in practice. You attend our instructor training and get certified before your first class. As your centre grows and you add batches, we will talk about how to scale in a way that protects the same standard — but it starts with you at the front of the room.

The commercials

What it takes, and what it returns

We would rather give you real numbers up front than make you sit through a meeting to hear them.

Initial investment
About ₹2 lakh

For a centre run from a spare room at home, set up for a batch of ten students. That covers the UCMAS franchisee package and the furniture — tables and chairs for a full batch — so you are not buying a licence and then discovering the real bill afterwards.

Typical return
9–12 months

How long a centre generally takes to recover that investment, based on how our existing UP network performs. How fast you get there depends mostly on how actively you build your first two batches — and that is the part we help with.

No guesswork required. We will guide you every step of the way.

What your centre needs

A spare room that meets five conditions

You do not need commercial premises, a shopfront or a lease. Most of our centre heads start at home — the photograph beside this list is one of them. This is the full list of what the space has to have.

  • A room of at least 150 sq ft. Enough for a batch of ten children to sit and work comfortably.
  • Tables and chairs for ten students. Included in the ₹2 lakh setup.
  • A separate washroom. Accessible to children without going through your private rooms.
  • A counselling and waiting area. Somewhere parents can sit while a class runs, and where you hold enrolment conversations.
  • Drinking water. Straightforward, and parents do notice.
Why the waiting area matters more than it sounds. Most of your enrolments happen in that space, not on the phone. A parent who has watched a class end and seen the children leave confident is already half-decided — which is why we treat it as a requirement rather than a nice-to-have.

Who you are partnering with

Abacus Educomp — Master Franchisee for Uttar Pradesh

A franchise is only as good as the people behind it, so it is worth knowing exactly who you would be signing with. Abacus Educomp holds the UCMAS Master Franchise for Uttar Pradesh and operates from an office in Aliganj, Lucknow — a real address you can visit, not a phone number in another city.

That also means you are not two steps removed from the brand. We sit directly between your centre and UCMAS India, and UCMAS India sits directly beneath UCMAS global. When a question about curriculum, grading or competitions needs an answer, it is a short chain.

Franchise FAQs

The questions people ask before they call

How much do I need to invest to start?

About ₹2 lakh for a centre run from a spare room at home, set up for a batch of ten students. That figure covers the UCMAS franchisee package and the furniture — tables and chairs for the full batch.

A typical centre recovers that investment in nine to twelve months.

Do I need commercial premises?

No. A room of at least 150 sq ft at home is enough, provided it has a separate washroom, an area where parents can sit and wait, and drinking water. Most of our centre heads across Uttar Pradesh start exactly this way, with no lease and no shopfront.

I have never taught before. Is that a problem?

No, and it is more common than you would think. We provide complete instructor training and certification before you take your first class, along with the full curriculum and assessment materials. You do not need a teaching background or a maths background — what matters is that you genuinely like working with children.

Do I have to teach the classes myself, or can I hire an instructor?

You teach. We award franchises only to people who will take the classes themselves, and this is the one condition we do not make exceptions to.

Two reasons. First, retention: if a hired trainer resigns midway through a level, you are replacing a certified instructor while a batch of children waits, and that takes months. Second, quality: when the owner is the person we trained, the teaching standard is set on day one and holds. Standards that depend on hired staff drift, and parents notice before you do.

Can I run a centre alongside a full-time job?

Many of our centre heads do. Each batch meets once a week for two hours, and we run classes at the weekend wherever possible — so a centre with a few batches can fit into a Saturday and Sunday. The commitment that is not negotiable is that you are the one teaching those sessions, plus a weekday replacement class when a student has missed one.

How many students can I start with?

The standard setup is built for a batch of ten. As your centre grows you add batches rather than a bigger room — each batch meets once a week for two hours, so a single room supports several batches across a weekend.

What are the ongoing fees after the initial investment?

They are set per centre, for the specific city that centre operates in. What works in Lucknow or Noida is not what works in a district town, so quoting one number for all of Uttar Pradesh would be misleading.

We go through the exact structure for your centre and your city in the first conversation, before anything is signed. Nothing is hidden — we simply do not publish it, and you will have the full picture long before you commit.

Which areas are available?

It varies as centres open across Uttar Pradesh, so the quickest answer is to ask. Tell us the city and locality you are thinking of and we will confirm availability straight away, along with what the area looks like in terms of schools and demand.

What support do I actually get?

The UCMAS brand, the complete curriculum and examination materials for every level, instructor training and certification, marketing support for launching your centre locally, systems for tracking students, and access to the international grading exams and competitions for your students. Plus a Master Franchisee office in Lucknow, regular franchise meets, and people who answer the phone.
